You want to spend your vacation in Phuket? You wanted to stay centrally, but luxuriously? You wanted to travel either as a couple or as a group? Maybe there is a small event coming up, e.g. a birthday or an engagement?

Then you are in perfect hands in the modern luxury apartments of Ocean Rock Kalim.

Kalim approach:

Easy: Take a cab from the airport 😉 or simply book a rental car in advance. With the app Google Maps you are well advised. Then direction Bang Tao here you pass the restaurant Suay (Clear recommendation). From Bang Tao it goes along the sea in the direction of Patong. Here you come through Surin. Then it goes up the mountain. On the top of the hill is one of the most beautiful viewpoints on one of the most beautiful beaches. (be sure to stop and take a few photos).

After that you will pass through Kamala. Right at the entrance of the village you will pass the Cafe del Mar – a legendary beach club.

A few kilometers after Kamala you will pass through Kalim. At the end of Kalim and at the beginning of Patong turn left and go up the hill for 1 km.

You will cross a small bridge, then the road splits. Turn left and after about 150 m turn right up the hill. And you are already in front of the entrance of Ocean Rock Kalim.

There is a small office just left of the entrance. There you can register.

The facility

The Ocean Rock Kalim apartment complex is built into the hillside. It is more reminiscent of a luxury apartment building in Los Angeles.

The resort is located above the legendary street food market of Kalim. Great restaurants can also be reached in 3-4 minutes by scooter/car.

The buildings are surrounded by greenery and each apartment has an incredible view of Kalim Bay and Patong.

Especially the nights by the pool offer a spectacular view of Patong Down Town at night.

The apartments in the luxury resort Ocean Rock Kalim:

There are 8 different apartments and studios. They all have one thing in common: they are top furnished, all with balcony, some with very large balcony. All of them are furnished as apartments. So it is like living privately very luxurious.

All apartments have LED smart TV as well as a JBL jukebox.

The studios have between 88 and 108 sqm. The apartments between 173 and 228 sqm. So there is enough space available.

From each studio or apartment you can reach the infinity pool and the sun terrace in less than 2 minutes.

It is the perfect place to start, spend or end the day.

The pool area is also perfect for small to medium events such as cozy get-togethers, cocktail parties, barbecues, pool parties, wine tastings or even engagements or weddings.

The Ocean Rock Kalim team speaks German, English, French, Norwegian and – of course – Thai.

There are several beach clubs on Phuket – I can recommend Café del Mar and Catch Beach Club.

And if you just want to enjoy a beautiful view, you can visit one of the three viewpoints

– Karon, Promthep Cape or Windmill Viewpoint. The last two are perfect to enjoy a beautiful sunset.

Conclusion:

I have stayed at a great many resorts, condos, apartment complexes, etc. on Phuket.

This resort is unique. The location is perfect, close to Patong – should you be interested in nightlife – but also far enough away from it to have your peace and quiet.

An insane infinty pool with a view that is second to none.

Really great studios and apartments – wish I could stay here permanently.
